  • This treatment is best for those with fair to medium skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–III). Darker skin types may not be suitable due to higher risk of pigmentation changes.

  • Pigment treatments are safest when the skin is not tanned. Fall and winter are ideal, but treatments can be done year-round if you practice strict sun avoidance and SPF protection.

  • Mild redness is common and subsides quickly. Spots darken, then flake off over 1–2 weeks, depending on treatment area.

    Makeup can usually be worn the next day.

  • Treated pigment does not return, but new spots may form from sun exposure or aging.

    Ongoing sun protection and occasional maintenance treatments help keep skin clear.

  • Most sun spots and freckles respond well to just 1–2 treatments, though some may need follow-up sessions.
