Permanent Makeup

A highly specialized profession that creates natural-looking semi-permanent makeup. A PMU artist must take countless technical courses and is certified in blood-borne pathogens and safety. Don’t let the name fool you, Permanent Makeup doesn’t stop at a great set of brows! It has a wide variety of applications from cosmetic to medical reconstruction. Clients who book with Hela for PMU have a variety of needs satisfied from cutting down time getting ready everyday to gaining hyper realistic hair and colour where there once wasn’t.

Every appointment begins with a consultation to determine the clients wants and needs as well as the method that will be used to achieve the desired look. It is not necessary to book prior to your appointment. All PMU appointments require follow up appointments as well as yearly/bi annual touch ups. Some clients require additional follow ups for their initial procedure as well as more frequent follow ups. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

As with any treatments, there are contraindications preventing candidates from qualifying for a procedure. Please promptly and accurately fill out the intake forms emailed to you with your appointment confirmation so we can determine your needs and candidacy before your arrival. 

If you have previous PMU from another studio, please send a clear picture of yourself to  carissa@helabeauty.org along with when and where the procedure was done after you’ve completed your intake form. 

Clients who do not fill in their intake forms prior to their appointment who can not move forward with the appointment due to unexpected contraindications will be charged a late notice cancellation fee. 

Permanent Make-Up is an art form and artistry can take time. It is advisable to allot yourself extra time for your booking as appointments can go over time. Clients who arrive with an unexpected strict out time may not be able to fulfill their appointment slot and will be charged a late notice fee.

For those who have had their brows previously Microbladed, Microshaded, or otherwise Semi-Permanent Tattooed (not done by HeLa) and are looking to cover up or correct their old work. This is a specialized, advanced technique as each cover-up requires a different level of correction. A consult will be done to determine if the cover-up can be done.

Cancellation Policy: Patients who provide less than 24 hrs notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a fee (Late Notice = 50% of service cost / No Show = 100% of service cost) 

Follow up appointments must be completed between 6-12 weeks of initial appointment or clients may be subject to additional fees.

Clients must not be pregnant or breastfeeding due to risk of infection and poor healed results. Please contact HeLa for more info.

Clients who receive Botox must avoid any treatments two weeks prior to PMU service.

Clients who receive dermal filler must avoid any treatments at least 4 weeks prior to PMU service.

Brows

120 min | $550 + tax

This is divided into two payments. $450 for your initial appointment + $100 for 6 week follow up. Technique and style will be determined during the initial consult at the beginning of your appointment.

Microblading

is a permanent make-up technique that creates a very natural brow enhancement. A hand held tool is used to give the illusion of individual hairs.

Ombre/Powder Brow/Machine Shading/Hybrid

A motorized pigmentation device is used to deposit colour with a fine needle. This can create a variety of effects to enhance the brow, from more density in the brow to a filled in make-up look. 

Nano Brows (Coming Soon)

180 min | $650 + tax ($550 initial + $100 follow up)

The Nano brow method uses a machine with a single needle to create the illusion of hair strokes and density. This technique is minimally traumatic to the skin, making it ideal for nearly all skin types. The machine allows for more artistic freedom for the artist to create brows that are natural looking, from soft and breezy or bold and defined and anywhere in between.

Brow Cover-Up (Coming Soon)

180 min | $850 + tax ($750 initial + $100 follow up)

This service is for those who have had their brows previously Microbladed, Microshaded, or otherwise Semi-Permanent Tattooed (not done by HeLa) and are looking to cover up or correct their old work. This is a specialized, advanced technique as each cover-up requires a different level of correction. A consult will be done to determine if the cover-up can be done.

Eyes

Lash Enhancement (Coming Soon)

90 min | $450.00 + tax ($350 initial + $100 touch up)

Pigment is deposited in the lash area, to give the illusion of a full lash line. The result is a very natural enhancement that defines the eye.

Eyeliner (Coming Soon)

120 min | $500.00 + tax ($400 + $100 touch up)

A step beyond lash enhancement, pigment is applied to the base of the lash line and built upon for a bolder look. Eyeliner can range from thin and crisp, soft and shaded to bold and defined.

Lip Blush (Aquarelle) (Coming Soon)

180 min | $650.00 + tax ($550 + $100 touch up)

This micro-pigmentation technique deposits sheer colour in your lips for a fresh, healthy appearance. Lip Blush can help achieve even, brighter lip pigment, camouflage scars and define the lip border. While this technique can make the lips look fuller by filling in areas of the lip lacking in pigment, it can not add physical volume (we have lip filler for that ;) ). Imagine the perfect lip tint, all the time!

Yearly Touch Ups

In order to prevent blurring or graying of a traditional tattoo, the PMU method is done to fade over time. Because of this your PMU will require yearly touch ups. Lifestyle and skin type can influence a person’s healing and retention. Some clients require additional follow ups for their initial procedure as well as more frequent follow ups.

1 Year Follow Up: $150 + tax

2 Year Follow Up: $250 + tax

3+ year Follow Up: to be determined upon level of fading
